My plan is to hang a 2x8 ledger board along the side of the building, off of which I'll joist-hanger 2x6 floor joists for the subfloor framing. All of this will sit on pressure-treated 4x4 posts sunk in concrete on the outer edge of the deck (which is about 8' from the side of the building).
